The Combined Probus Club of Tocumwal is looking for new members. Membership is open to retired and semi-retired local people of both genders. The local club has been going for almost 10 years and comprises some 70 members who gather once a month for good fellowship, to listen to guest speakers and plan pleasure trips to other towns and attractions.
We are not a fund-raising organisation, nor are we required to undertake voluntary community work.
We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Tocumwal Golf Club and our meetings last about an hour and a half. Potential members would be very welcome to attend as guests. Anybody interested should just “Turn up at the meeting and introduce yourself”. You can be assured of a warm welcome! More details in the May edition of the Tocumwal Flyer.
We are very fortunate to have a local wildlife recovery team here in Tocumwal. Sharleen & Barry Massingham are registered wildlife carers who have been looking after hurt or damaged wildlife for 10 years & work in conjunction with Petersons Veterinary Clinic. If you find any injured wildlife needing attention they are happy for you to call or take the animal to them for assistance. Phone: 0407 522 601
